And the first pick goes to......

Portland! No one was expecting that one, but who should they take, the obvious pick is Greg Oden, but if you take time to think about it, they already have decent forwards and centers, what they're missing is a pure scorer; Kevin Durant. He can drive, post up, shoot the three, shoot a J...he can do it all, he isn't as threatening as Oden on the defensive end, but I think that right now Portland should just increase its defense overall and snatch Durant. I think they should have a chance to make the playoffs next year. As for the monster Oden, he would play best with Seattle; they already have scorers (Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis), so a great shotblocker would work just fine.

Mixtape?

Aight it's been some time since I last posted, but I was real busy...with basketball of course. Anyways, found out that I'll be going to Syria this summer, so your'e askin' why should this interest you right? Well, right beside my cousin's house (he's also goin' to Syria) there's a basketball court, and while it's true that there are very little good ballers there, I'm still gonna ball and have someone recording all of it, so yea,if I get enough moves and stuff I'll make this mini-mixtape. I'm used to organised ball so I amen't that flashy but like I was sayin' with bad players;I could probably get the flashiness level up.Or worst case scenario I'll just make this highliht reel of basic fundamental plays, but we all know that no one wants to see that right?

Frustrated

The Chicago Bulls lost, they fought till the last second, Ben Wallace tried his best despite his bad back. They all tried but I guess it wasn't enough. But what gets any Bull fan frustrated is how many open 3s they had, and missed almost all of them. But you gotta give credit where it's due. And in my opinion the man that ever gave Detroit a chance and the man who's always lead them is Chauncey Billups, just an amazing Point Guard. As for next year well, the Bulls are going to get a First Round Pick via New York, so who knows, with such a deep draft we might just get that much-needed low-post scorer.

Summer Workout

Like many other people I'll probably be working on my game all summer long. So I'ma make a training program. I'm gonna work on all the fundamentals; Shooting, handles, passing,free throws, and even some post play. But most importantly I will work on my strength training (upperbody and lowerbody) and conditioning. I'll post the program soon enough but until then here are some sites to help you make your own;

All eyes on Oakland

Almost everyone I know has become a Warriors fan within the past few weeks. I mean the world's gone crayz.And I honestly think that the Wars can make it to the Finals. I mean they got it all right now, the momentum,the crowd (they now have a decibel counter at each home game;it shows just how loud it gets in there,so far they've reached 120 decibels which is equal to an the sound of an airplane takin' off,so yea they scream loud) , the right players, the only team they can lose to is either the Suns or the Pistons. And Baron Davis, well he's playing like a league MVP, check this sick dunk out;
Anyways right now he's the leading scorer in the playoffs, besides LeBron. But what makes them such a great team is that they can win and perform all the flashy moves and dunks. Hell they even got their own anthem, you can listen to it and download it here; http://www.myspace.com/thetrackrunners
If you got the time go to www.nba.com/video and check out the game recaps against the Dallas series,they're filled with highlights. And despite not having alot of big men they can still dominate the game,and there is no selfishness whatsoever. So yea,when the game is in their favor they play like the NBA's own Harlem Globetrotters.

The deal with Starbury

Many many people think that starburys are bad quality, or that they don't last long, etc. Well to clarify it all for everyone here's the deal; Not too long ago I went to New York and visited a Steve & Barry's.....I felt like a small kid in a candyshop. The place was huge, and forget Starbury, they had clothes for all the cool colleges, so if your'e a Kevin Durant or Greg Oden fan, you could put on some of their team's gear (no jerseys though). What higlighted all this was that everything was under 12$. Now back to Starbury, the first thing I did when I arrived was try on some Starbury IIs, oh wait they were sold out (just goes to show how popular they are, I saw people from all ages and color buyin them) so I found a box of Starbury Is opened it and tried them on.....Comfortable! Yea, that's something I wasn't expecting, I've had them for about a month now, use them for everything and they're still in great shape. Dam they looked so good that my mom even got a pair of Starburys (there are even alot of new ones for women only).And they work just like any other quality shoe. But what made me really go crayz was all the clothes, I got some shorts, t-shirts,jeans (all Starbury) for under 14$ each. So there you have it, next time you get a chance to visit a Steve & Barry's go and use all the cash you got, 'cuz let's be honest; 1 pair of Jordans or 3 pairs of Starburys with some clothes too?
